“To me, photography is an art of observation. It’s about finding something interesting in an ordinary place… I’ve found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them.”               — Elliott Erwitt

About Danielle

I have two incredible kids and a wonderful husband to whom I've been married for 22 years. I am passionate about photography. The very first "major purchase" I ever made was a pink and black automatic 35mm camera at age 10.  It was $70, which is a heck of a lot for a kid of 10!  A few years later, my parents gifted me my first SLR camera when I was studying photography in high school.

Equally as memorable was the purchase of my first digital camera. Film and sleeping-in both vanished with the birth of my first child. Though some remained loyal to film, I appreciated the limitless shots digital gave me when photographing my newborn.  (Though I do miss the quiet time that working in a darkroom gave me!)

Whether capturing life's milestones, creating a piece of fantastical art, or admiring the way the raindrops fell on my garden, photography has always been a part of my life.

Thank you for sharing your life with my camera and I.

  • I LOVE tea

  • I'm an avid birder

  • I would rather be an hour early, than arrive 5 minutes late

  • For 30 years my hair was extremely long. Then I cut it all off, donated the ponytail, and have never looked back

  • I am highly prone to 'spoonerisms', a verbal error in which a speaker accidentally transposes the initial sounds or letters of two or more words, often to humorous effect. My kids laugh every time they win the 'toin coss'.

  • I really dislike cream cheese, zucchini, and cake

  • I made the Dean's list when I graduated in Journalism

  • I enjoy cleaning. I find it therapeutic
